Decaying SkinI want to be dust
Floating in the care free air
Free to roam on breathless sighs
Empty, yet consumed
I want to be skinless
Shoulder blades etching like swans
From my decomposing back
So beautifully created
Under my delicate decaying mask
Painting red skies onto my skin
The pain-staking sky washes over me
Brushing through my pores
And leaving trails of crimson secrets
That my lips daren't ever tell
Deliverance, decadence, fragility
A breath taking numbness
Cold to the touch, and lifeless to the bone
My frayed mentality, forever wearing away
With each battered and weathered memory
Etching themselves onto my brain
Like an art
Oh, LoveStaring
Eyes sinking into the pain of what is seen-
Them-
Standing there
Etching into eachother's lips
Hoping nobody notuces
Their infidelity

Holding-
Onto the dreams that maybe this will be-
Better-
Than anything else
That has gone before them
In this world
Better than forever

Hoping-
That this will last for eternity-
Wishing-
That they could embrace
Each other's presence
Forever more
And nothing less

Wanting-
To be held, to be loved, to be-
Captivated-
By the ideal of being the perfect quintessence
Of love,honesty,purity
To be everything
To each other and more

Hurting-
From the pain of heartache, loss
Dying-

What Mental Illness Feels LikeIt feels like you're a prisoner
In your own mind
Holding you hands up to your
Looking glass eyes
But not able to escape

It feels like being close to yourself
All the time
But not knowing who you are
Wanting to get close to others
But terrified of letting them in

It feels like wanting to kill all your emotions
So you don't hurt anymore
It feels like the physical pain you cause yourself
Just to kill all the pain
You hold buried inside

It feels like starving your body
Because you feel like a bad person
And like you need to be punished
For all the things you've done - past and present
That those around you say weren't your faul
Inner FeelingsI'm killing myself slowly
Not another calorie shall pass my lips
The trace of bones is beautiful
When I can see my ribs and hips

Exercise obsessively
To rid myself of hate
And all these jumbled feelings
That keep my mind awake

Want to go to sleep forever
Stop this beating of my heart
Forget all these thoughts and memories
Still tearing me apart

Doctors try to help me
Therapists don't really care
People in the street look at me
With their long icy glares

I had a love once
Abandoned me without a trace
But it's ok, really
It's not like I deserved his grace

Want to escape it all
But there's no where to run
I cannot run away
Ghost Of A MaidenIt's the end of an era
Another soul sold
To thou who is judging
Our rise and our fall

Another life graven
Another vessel deemed
Too unsuitable to live
Or so it had seemed

Another raven does call
At the merciless door
Of the beggar and rich man
And the tales of myth and folklore

The ghost of a maiden
Hair flaxen like straw
Lies cold in waiting
For once and ever more

Don't believe what you hear
When they say it's a lie
History speaks drapes of truth
That many race of man deny

Like an iced pearl to the touch
And cold to the bone
Walks the ghost of the maiden
Living in histories truths, alone
Letters Of LoveRegarding those love letters strewn on your bed

They were never meant for someone as beautiful as you

Falling hearts from the skies of time

Draped in ashen white

The writing's on the wall

Words get tossed around and jumbled

Weaving in and out of truth and lies

Regarding those love letters on your bed

I never meant the words in them at all

When I said I loved you, I lied

When I said I missed you, it wasn't what I meant

What I really meant to say

Was I love you and I miss you today

It was never in the past

Only in the present and the future

And I wipe this lip shaped kiss

From the seal of this last envelope

As I place it on you
